Atlas Developments was started in 1987 by Mr Dan Russel when he bought the huge ex-textile mill known as the Atlas Works in Denton Holme, Carlisle to accommodate the import/export business he then owned. Gradually Mr Russell and his staff have been developing and refurbishing the mill until today (2003) when it is home to about 40 commercial tenants.

Atlas Works is now a thriving property and a unique mix of offices, retail, manufacturing, leisure and cultural activities - including four martial arts schools, three dance schools and Carlisle's first and only organic Cybercafe entertainment venue. There is also a Holistic Health Clinic and even a dairy at this date.
